Please take notice that a public hearing will be held in the LGI at the Karns City Area High School located at 1446 Kittanning Pike, Karns City, PA on February 23, 2023 for the additions and renovations to Chicora Elementary School, starting at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of the hearing is to inform the public about the difference between the estimated Project costs for the Project and the actual costs of the Project following receipt of bids.
Special Board Meeting
The Karns City Area School District School Board of Directors will hold a special meeting on February 23, 2023, immediately following the 6:00 p.m. Act 34 Public Hearing in the LGI Room at the Karns City Jr./Sr. High School, 1446 Kittanning Pike, Karns City, PA for the purpose accepting and/or rejecting bids for the Chicora Elementary addition and renovation project and any other matters that come before the Board.

This event supports the Karns City Scholastic Foundation in its efforts to support the educational, co-curricular, and extra-curricular opportunities and activities of the students in Karns City Area School District. Doors will open at 5:00 PM. Dinner will be served at 6:00 PM. There will be a 50/50, Chinese auction, and other raffle prizes available for guests to enjoy as well.
Seating assignments will be provided upon arrival to the event.
Sugarcreek Elementary School fifth grade students graduated from the DARE program on Friday, December 9. Deputy Sawl awarded each fifth grader with two certificates and a gift card to Family Bowlaway Fun Center and Texas Roadhouse.
Essay winners were: Kimberlee H., Emma B., Jordan W., Brayden H., Aydin B., and Sky T.
